Facility Director
Robert Anguiano
Robert serves as the Facilities Director at The Riekes Center, where he oversees the day-to-day operations of the 40,000-square-foot facility. With a strong background in mechanical engineering, construction, and automotive technology, he brings a rare blend of hands-on expertise and leadership to every corner of the center.
Starting his journey at The Riekes Center over 13 years ago as a fitness instructor and coach, Robert gradually pivoted toward his passion for engineering. His natural ability to diagnose, repair, and optimize complex systems led him to take charge of all things facilities-related and large-scale infrastructure projects.
Robert’s experience spans automotive diagnosis and repair, construction, and facility management. Whether it’s coordinating renovations, leading teams, or tackling unexpected breakdowns, Robert is known for one thing: if it’s broken, he can fix it—or find the best way to get it fixed.
Robert holds a Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology and Mechanical Engineering, and he holds a certificate in Automotive Technology. In addition to managing the facility, Robert created and runs the Riekes Center’s trade skills program, offering real-world skills and mentorship to youth.
His approach to work—and life—is simple: “It is what it is. Deal with it, adapt, and overcome it. If it’s sweet, I’ll eat it. If it isn’t broken, don’t fix it, but if it can be improved, it should be done.”
