Lex Ebbink-Alemania 

Director of Community Services 

Lex was born in Redondo Beach, California, where she lived until her family relocated to San Mateo, California, in 1990. She attended a private school, where she completed an Independent Study Program (ISP) for grade school through high school. She is now continuing her education at College of San Mateo where her focus is Psychology. When not at the Riekes Center, Lex can be found teaching at San Mateo Kuk Sool Won, a martial arts studio. At 12, she started training in the martial arts style of Kuk Sool Won that originated in Southern Korea. At the age of 16 she began assisting and teaching classes. She is now a 2nd degree black belt and has won Women’s Grand Champion for 2 years in a row in the Western Regional Championships. If you ask her about the Riekes Center, she will tell you that it has an amazing atmosphere.
