Spotlight Short Film Showcase at the Guild Theatre

Riekes Film is excited to host its 2nd annual Spotlight Short Film Showcase. This showcase will feature a selection of short films from local filmmakers, offering a diverse and exciting lineup of work. Whether you are a seasoned film buff or new to independent cinema, we invite you to join us for this special event. 

Before the Showcase, which begins at 4:00 PM, we will be premiering of our 2023 Summer Documentary Program students' short films! We invite anyone coming to the Film Festival to join us in supporting these young filmmakers. Our Summer Documentary Program is funded in part by the California Arts Council.

The Riekestra is gearing up for a 10-day tour in Barcelona, Spain later this summer and will showcase their talents and the music they have been crafting and preparing in a performance on Friday, July 7 at 6:00 PM at Palo Alto Magical Bridge Playground, located at 3700 Middlefield Road within Mitchell Park of Palo Alto. On Friday, April 14th (National Gardening Day) the Riekes Center will be meeting up at the Friendship Garden in Redwood City from 1:00–3:00PM to do some spring cleaning of our community garden!
