Robbie Merrill


Robbie was born and raised in Menlo Park. He started working for and exercising at the Riekes Center as a student when he was in the 7th grade and has been with us ever since. He attended Serra High School in San Mateo where he played Football, Basketball and Baseball.

Following High School, Robbie studied at the University of Arizona, where he graduated in 2006 with a BS in Physical Education with an interest in working in the exercise world.

Robbie has extensive training and experience working with youth and adults through one-on-one as well as group sessions. He has worked with individuals with special needs, hearing and visual impairments, underserved communities and veterans, to name a few. His broad area of expertise is a perfect fit at the Riekes Center. Robbie has coached the following programs at the Center:  Elements, CORE, SMART, Pinnacle, Personal Training, Veterans programs and Archery. He helped to create the Customized CORE program and also helped to design the offsite and onsite athletic programs for Laurel, Eastside Prep and Synapse schools.
